My Nemesis...."Man Pants"

So when we pick-up Boy 2 from day care a sure way of knowing there has been an accident is when he is wearing the "Man Pants" These are now second generation, Boy 1 even had them. The man on the pants is a picture of rapper Tupac Shakur and they are about 5 sizes to big and he looks like a little thug.

The problem is he loves wearing them and Audrey knows that I am not a fan of them so they continue to be put on.

Happy Anniversary

It has been a very busy July 4th weekend and I promise I will get some updated postings out soon, but I wanted to make sure I got out the 2 year Anniversary posting of this blog. It all started July 4th, 2009 I was awake early and everyone else was sleeping so I decided to start the Boy 1 and Boy 2 Blog.

I am always finding myself going back through the postings myself just to watch the changes and there are many.

Nothing Has Changed on Sunday Mornings

This picture was first posted on June 4, 2010 (you can go back and look). I just wanted to give you an update a year later. Sunday mornings are still the same, Boy 2 still clings to me and reads with me. The picture below was taken this month.

Social Butterfly

Boy 1 has been the secret weapon on his tee ball team all season. All you have to do is put him near some kid on a base and he will start talking to them non-stop so that they don't even see the ball hit to run to the next base. Off course it works the same when he's on base. Here he is talking to his buddy Sam (they went to pre-school together), its nothing but fun and games.

Who needs indoor plumbing, this is much easier than drawing an entire bath and the mess is about the same.

Game On

Last Saturday was the first of 6 Tee Ball games this season and we are the luckiest team in the league to have 3 of those 6 games at 8:30 a.m. So the first team sport we sign one of the boys up for is at the same time as Boy 2's swimming lessons, which means right of the bat we are splitting-up to go in different directions with each kid. Hi honey, bye honey!

The game was as good as the practices. 3 kids jumping on the same ball, kids just watching it roll by, running the bases in the outfield because they can't find 2nd base. Boy 1 had quite a cheering section, Carey, Boy2, Grampy Dave, Grammy, Aunt Sheila, Ron and myself. Grampy Carl did show-up but walked down the wrong trail to get to the field and said screw this and went back to his car. The field is a long way from the parking area, you know it makes the most sense having the smallest kids walk the furthest.

In the field Boy 1 played Center Field, 3rd Base and Pitcher. His attention span is best served in the infield. When in Center Field there was alot of digging in the dirt, watching planes and at one point he just dropped his glove to run over to me for a trip into the woods.



Shoulders squared, eyes on the ball, head down.........great form!
